In 2012, ASU members did the unthinkable-- you united the sector behind your campaign for Equal Pay, won massive payrises for workers across your sector, and brought $7bn of extra funding into the community sector.
This campaign proved that our communities need and value your work.
But since then, we have seen state and local government funding fail to meet the needs of your services.
And now we are facing a massive fall of 40% in Federal funding as many departments have failed to budget for Equal Pay beyond 2020.
Our services can't take anymore cuts.
Across NSW and the ACT, union members are getting ready to protect funding to our sector.
We are meeting in every region to plan how we can tell our local federal and state MPs that our services matter.
Will you join ASU members in Sutherland on Thursday 27th February?
We'll be meeting at Gymea Tradies at 5.30pm to make plans for Sutherland.
RSVP now, and bring your colleagues!
