Wages 

  • 5% bonus on base rate of pay plus an additional bonus of $3000 for full-time employees or $2500 to part time employees
  • 18 month wage freeze
  • 1.5% pay increase from 1 January 2018 
  • 3% pay increase from 1 July 2018 
  • 3% pay increase from 1 July 2019 

Allowances 

  • Wage related allowances increase with pay rises on 1 January 2018, 1 July 2018, 1 July 2019 
  • Expense related allowances increase by CPI on 1 July 2016, 1 July 2017, 1 July 2018, 1 July 2019 

Part-time 

Annual review of part time hours will no longer include overtime, full-time buddy training either as a trainer or trainee  which means the removal of capping of PT hours

Parental Leave

 A primary carer on parental leave will receive 14 weeks paid leave in addition to the Federal Government Scheme. The final two weeks to be paid into superannuation unless an employee elects to receive this as pay and paid parental leave can be taken at half pay over 28 weeks.


Flexible Work Agreements 

New agreement principles will apply when Qantas considers applications for FWA and Qantas will not unreasonably withhold FWA or transfers to part time for employees seeking transition to retirement 


Jobshare 

Existing agreements continue and current job share partnerships are protected. New Jobshare lines agreed to during EBA 11 will be subject to existing local agreements, will be temporary up to 12 months, and one or more of the jobsharers must be a full-time employee.


20th Days 

Existing provisions for cash out continues and employees who are part time, Jobshare, FWAs or have done a full-time secondment with accumulated 20th days will also be able to cash out all 20th days 


Domestic & Family Violence Leave 

10 days paid additional Domestic & Family Violence Leave


Superannuation 

10% guaranteed in the EBA for the first time 


Job Security 

Qantas letter committing to no use of QGS or any other Qantas Ground Handling Subsidiary in all ASU covered positions until September 2020.


Airport Issues 

Customer Service Rostering Committee and National Airport Rostering Committee will review leave processes and taking & cashing out of DILs.

Commitment by Qantas not to downgrade or make compulsorily redundant any position because of Next Gen/kiosks.


Senior Professionals 

Creation of a working group to discuss criteria used to determine PP&R scores. All SP’s will also be able to use the Dispute Settlement Procedure to dispute their score if necessary.

All SP’s who receive a PP&R score of 3 or above are guaranteed a salary increase.


Annual Leave 

All employees will be able to request to take leave between Monday and Sunday now, removing the need to take Wednesday to Tuesday blocks of leave. 


Meal Allowance for Part Time extensions 

Part-timers  rostered to work 5 ordinary hours or less who are extended to more than 7.6 hours will receive a meal allowance. 


Work from Home 

Reference to improved policy included in EBA 11.

Yearly National Delegates Conference for 65 delegates entitled to access paid and unpaid leave.
