New Uniform Policy at Sydney Water

There has been a new uniform policy implemented – it’s may not yet be available on ConnectNet but you can see it below. The policy means that only staff that are ‘authorised’ (mostly those that work daily face to face with the public) will be allowed to wear clothes with a Sydney Water logo. It also means that staff will not be able to gain the tax benefits of wearing a corporate uniform and will not be able to purchase any new uniforms.
We have met with management once who have said that, as uniforms are not included in the Award, they do not want to provide the option of wearing a uniform to staff. They have also said that ‘unauthorised’ staff who continue to wear Sydney Water logo’d clothing will be in breach of the policy.
Have a look at the proposed new policy and contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you will be affected by it or if you would like to keep the option to wear a Sydney Water uniform.
