NATIONAL COUNCIL INTERVENES IN NSW

The National Council of the St Vincent De Paul Society has suspended the NSW Divisional Council. The ASU welcomes this development and has called up the Society to now act to remove those who have been responsible for the development of the culture of bullying and corporatisation that has developed over the years, the Senior Management.

ASU Welcomes Suspension of Vinnies NSW Board Print

The Australian Services Union (ASU) welcomes today’s announcement by the National Council of the St Vincent De Paul Society to suspend its NSW Board.

The suspension comes amid suggestions that the current management of the NSW Board had embraced a corporate model of management, which resulted in a combative and bullying culture within the senior ranks of the Society.

Vinnies National Council Calls for an End to Bullying Print

The National council of the St Vincent De Paul Society has taken control of the State Council of the Society after years of allegations of Bullying. Whilst there a few details available John Falzon is quoted as saying:

“Mr Syd Tutton, National President of the Society of St Vincent de Paul has taken the step as allowed under the statutes of the Society to place the NSW State Council under the temporary administration of the National Council.

VINNIES CHANGES PAY DAY IN BREACH OF THE SACS AWARD Print

SOCIETY UNILATERALLY CHANGES PAY DAY FOR SOME STAFF
Groups of staff employed by the Society have today received notification that the Society intends to move pay dates. This change will cause considerable disruption to staff who have set up automatic payments from their accounts and may now not have sufficient funds in their account to cover payments going out.
