Railcorp Bargaining Bulletin #10 - A Call to Action

RailCorp have put their cards on the table. This is a call to action for our members.

At negotiations yesterday RailCorp tabled the reforms that they believe we need to cop in order to get a 3.3% pay increase for 3 years. They have already budgeted for a 2.5% increase for this period with NO reforms. With these 27 reforms, which are significant, they believe that they can fund an extra 0.8% increase per year. They are refusing to take into consideration any of the significant cost savings that have been made over the last two years through restructure and reform which has negatively affected us!

This bulletin has an action item attached to it and it’s really important that it works! We want everyone to email/fax/call their concerns/questions/complaints about the proposals, the impacts of them, RailCorp’s approach to negotiations or anything else really to their EA Info Centre. For this to get momentum we need people talking in the workplace. So it’s important that you have as many conversations with people as you can encouraging them to make their voices heard to RailCorp management.
