Survey of Relationships Australia Employees:
The ASU has conducted meetings and surveyed staff about the Enterprise Agreement. The survey is the key document for developing the log of claims.
Survey Results/Log of Claims:
The following have come out of the survey as the major concerns and form the basis of the Log of Claims:
- Pay rise of 6%
- Maintenance of current above award margin
- Conversion of casuals to permanent workers after 6 months in line with industry standards
- Reduction of the Span of Hours to 8am to 6pm and the removal of Saturday’s from the span of hours
- Workload issues – comprehensive analysis of staffing levels and work load levels required.
- Overtime in line with industry standards i.e choice of payment or TIL
- Salary Packaging (Salary Sacrifice) made available to all staff
- Classifications and pay scales – review of classification structure
- Removal of current requirement to undertake work outside of core working hours or compensation for work required
- Automatic increments in line with industry standards.
The Log of Claims needs to be endorsed by ASU members. To do this a vote is being organised through the Survey Monkey website. A link to the website and instructions on voting will be sent by email to all ASU members on Monday 3rd August 2009.
You will have to have your ASU membership number to vote if you don’t have it or aren’t sure of it please call the ASU on 02 9310 4000.

Non- members can be represented by the ASU but only by joining the Union .
