MARIST YOUTH CARE STOP WORK - TOMORROW 1PM Print
Thursday, 20 November 2008 04:14

Your employer has refused to negotiate an enterprise agreement to resolve this dispute or meet any of the other terms workers require. The employer is only willing to meet to discuss how we implement their roster. This is not an acceptable situation. Members now need to attend the stop work meeting that was planned when we last met.

The Union advises:
1. All members are directed to stop work and attend a meeting from 1-2pm at La Valla at 151 Reservoir Road, Blacktown.
2. Your employer has already been advised in writing that all members will be stopping work in time to attend the 1pm meeting.
3. Your employer has a responsibility to ensure that the clients are properly cared for and your employer should be making plans on the basis that you will not be attending work.
4. You are not required to individually notify your employer of your intention to stop work. The ASU has done this on your behalf.
5. Should your employer approach you to organise care of clients, where the employer has been unable to make alternative arrangements, then you should call the ASU.
6. Any further queries please call the ASU office on 9310 4000.

Now is the time to take a stand, show that you are strong,  show that you are united

In Unity,
The ASU delegates and team
