Mercy Centre

Union members at Mercy Centre have a long history of working together to improve pay and conditions and gain more respect from their management. In 2011 many more staff got active, joined their union and decided to do something about their pay, contracts, occupational health & safety and communication with management. Members action has resulted in re-instatement of regular staff representative meetings and communications meetings, initiation of local occupational health & safety meetings in Orange, agreement to review and update staff contracts. And there is more to come… as workers insist on getting the respect and conditions they are entitled to.
