SACS

The Social, Community and Disability Industry (SACS) is made up of tens of thousands of dedicated and skilled non-government sector workers. The ASU represents SACS workers across all of NSW and the ACT. SACS workers work in policy and advocacy, in community development, in front line service delivery, with people with a disability, in domestic violence services, in refuges, group homes, homeless services, neighbourhood centres and community legal centres, with young people and people who are often the most marginalised in our communities. SACS workers support communities and encourage greater participation; working to make our communities and society fairer and more inclusive.

SACS workers work for large charities and small NGOs. The SACS industry’s work is as diverse as the clients, communities and issues, we work with and for. SACS workers are highly skilled, highly qualified and essential in our communities.

If you work in SACS and are not yet a member, join the ASU now.
