New Agreement for Menzies Aviation Employees

It started as a simple survey but quickly progressed to a campaign that focused on the issues that mattered most and now because of the hard work of ASU members. Menzies employees are finally able to vote on their new agreement.

After months of negotiations Menzies employees are now on the cusp of voting in an agreement which includes pay rises that are on average over 4% per year, a large number conversions from part time to full time positions, a commitment for rosters to be out four weeks in advance as well as the introduction of job share arrangements and extra increments for some levels.

We saw employees joining together, joining their union and getting organised. It was because of this pressure that saw the best outcome in negotiations seen for years. ASU members are now focussing on building on this success in 2012.
