NSW Government remains silent on Equal Pay

The NSW Government is now the only Government in Australia to not put any money on the table for Equal Pay.
Following weeks of members emailing, calling and visiting their local federal members of parliament we received a commitment from the Federal Government to increase their share of SACS funding to accommodate wage increases expected to come out of our Equal Pay case. This is a huge victory and gets us one step closer to achieving Equal Pay
But we are not there yet. The NSW Government continues to remain silent on the issue of funding for Equal Pay. This is completely unacceptable. The NSW O'Farrell Government is the ONLY Government in Australia to not put any additional funding for Equal Pay on the table. This silence makes winning Equal Pay harder.
We need to turn this situation around – we did this with the Federal Government, now it is Barry O'Farrell's turn!
We need to send a clear message to the O'Farrell Government: Pay Up! We demand funding for Equal Pay. This week you can send this message loud and clear:
1. Email your local state Liberal or National Party member.
2. Call your local state Liberal or National Party member. You can find their phone number here
3. Organise a meeting with your local Liberal or National Party member.
We have won the legal argument with Fair Work Australia; we have won the money from the Federal Government. Only the O'Farrell Government stands in our way now. It's time for Barry to Pay Up!
