GILLARD MUST REVERSE EQUAL PAY BACK FLIP

Federal Member for Melbourne and Greens spokesperson on employment and workplace relations Adam Bandt and has called on the Gillard government to reverse its opposition to a union push on equal pay for women.

Mr Bandt will give notice of a motion calling on the government to support the equal pay push. The Federal Government has told Fair Work Australia it can not pay wage increases that may result from the Equal Pay test case being brought by social and community service workers, reneging on a deal with the Australian Services Union.
