A resounding no vote was registered after 97% of Technical Consultants voted in the Canon Australia Pty Ltd Technical Consultants Collective Agreement 2009.
What was the result?
224 Technical Consultants voted and177 said NO to the Canon proposal. That is, 79% said the offer was not good enough.
What is not good enough?
• No guaranteed minimum wage(safety net) increase for years 2 & 3– in fact no wage increase at all for those 2 years. • No ability to choose a redundancypackage in the event of atransmission of business. • No back pay. • No 15 minutes at the start of theday – you are to start on thepremises at 8.30am. • No fixed wage increase component with the State differentials removed.
What do we do to fix this?
Your NCC Reps will be asking you to sign this petition that tells Canon what needs to change to finalise the agreement. The petition will then be presented to Canon management. We want to finalise this agreement now! If you have any questions or concerns you should contact your NCC Rep or ASU Organiser. Their details are listed below.
