Challenge Disability Services Collective Agreement
Challenge Disability Services have been holding regular discussions to update the Collective Agreement that covers all staff and employees.
The ASU is providing advice to members about the conditions in the Agreement and how they compare to the Industry Standard – the NAPSA (Notional Agreement Preserving the State [SACS] Award).

Marist Youth Care ASU members are working together to win the rosters they want.

Marymead Agreement Campaign
A campaign by ASU members and staff employed by Relationships Australia to negotiate a new Enterprise Agreement. With more than 7 years since the last completed agreement members are working together to ensure they get the agreement that they want.

Mission Australia
Mission Australia is negotiating a new enterprise agreement for its staff who are covered by the Social and Community Services Award. They are proposing radical changes to the pay and rights of their workers despite the fact they are already paid less than other community workers across NSW.
Negotiations began in late May after workers joined their union in record numbers and voted overwhelmingly for a union agreeement. Mission Union members know that to have a strong voice in negotiations they need the numbers.

St Vincent de Paul Society
In October 2007 the ASU and the St Vincent de Paul Society signed an “in principle” agreement that the parties would work together to resolve various outstanding workplace concerns and would begin the process for negotiating the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) for SACS workers.
Despite the ASU’s many attempts to resolve the outstanding issues with IR staff at Vinnies, many of these issues remain unresolved.

A campaign by staff employed by the UnitingCare Children, Young People and Families Service Group to negotiate a new Certified Agreement. Members are working together the win workers the conditions that THEY want.

Senior Manager's Contract Campaign
Without consulting union members, Sydney Water has changed the contracts for Senior Managers! They have cut back detailed explanation of Senior Manager’s redundancy packages, long service leave entitlements, termination procedures and salary packaging options, replacing specifics with watered down, generalised clauses that either reduce your entitlements or leave them subject to policy that can and has been changed at Sydney Water’s will. Union members are very concerned about these changes and are getting organised to negotiate a fairer outcome for everyone.

STA - Senior and Salaried Officer's EBA Campaign

The State Transit Authority’s Senior and Salaried Officer’s Agreement expired on 31 December 2008. Negotiations to establish the new EBA have commenced. ASU members are bargaining for a fair and equitable EBA.

Sydney Ferries EBA Campaign
2009 is a year of change for Sydney Ferries.
From June onwards Sydney Ferries will be in competition with the private sector to prove they are the best organisation to provide ferry services to Sydney. During this process the structure and budget of SF is going to come under heavy scrutiny and this means every job will be under review.

Work Conduct Unit Campaign
The WCU and IA are going through significant changes in which the whole scope and structure of the units are being revamped. As a consequence, investigators have been fired and investigations have been suspended and their whole structure and scope are being reviewed. The ASU is drafting submissions to internal consulting so that we can shape this change.
