In July 2011 many members at Achieve Australia contacted the union to raise concerns over the new roster and the request from management to change current permanent full time employee's to permanent part time.
The union is working to bring together these concerns quickly and to see these issues raised and addressed with management.

Where are things up to?
Your Union represenatives and delegates met with Achieve management in October and November last year to attempt to resolve the ongoing issues and concerns of members.

Current Claims for Achieve Australia Union Members

Union members at Achieve Australia have been working on addressing the issues around the proposed roster for September since June this year. To date Achieve Australia's management have conceded to the majority of the collective issues, a fantastic success!
A Union delegation has been formed to meet with management in October to address the remaining issues. Please read the table below for full details on each claim, the response from management and our plans from here.

In July 2011 many members at Achieve Australia contacted the union to raise concerns over the new roster and the request from management to change current permanent full time employees to permanent part time. A survey was distributed across all employees at Achieve Australia and nine key issues were raised to management on the 18th of August.
Achieve Australia have conceded to the majority of the issues we have raised, a fantastic success! Achieve Australia has also indicated they are happy to meet with the Union to discuss these issues further and address specific examples of any breaches. We need to finalise a Union delegation to attend this meeting and raise specific issues and specific details to ensure these issues do not continue. At the union meeting (details below) we can finalise our plan for moving forward.

Many staff have sent through their completed survey which is great! Please get yours in as soon as possible. There have been many issues raised in relation to the proposed roster. We need to come together and finalise a plan to take to management to see the issue of the new roster.
Rosters and Contracts – Your Rights, Your Union

Many Australia Services Union (ASU) members have been in touch with the Union office raising concerns about changes that have been introduced at Achieve Australia. There has been a range of issues noted from members including;
1. Issues with the new roster from August 1st 2011
- Reduced hours
- Changed shifts from weekends to weekdays and the reverse.
- Shifts shortened from 10 hours to 8.
2. Types of Employment
Several members have reported that Achieve has asked them to sign documentation changing their employment from Full time to permanent Part time.
